In the gravity well.
I was a spark of burning fire,
a hot and bright young soul,
an exploding heart of hydrogen desire,
an ignited carbon coal.
A shining star in the endless night,
I slid through the frozen air,
above the seething magnetic might,
of gravity’s unseen lair.
I dove into the churning force,
energy straight and streamlined,
but as I fell in my descending course,
the power seized of my mind.
The energy of the gravity well,
takes a terrible toll,
battered and scarred in this pit of hell,
I began to tumble and roll.
I fought for control in my rapid descent,
against the mind numbing grasp,
but against this force that would not relent,
I began to shiver and gasp.
Now the pressure increases as I fall,
I start to burn all over,
and no one hears my despairing call,
as I go super nova.
